Broadcom HEDS-9940EVB Evaluation Boards are designed to assess the functionalities of the Broadcom AEDR-9940 Optical Encoders. These optical encoders are three-channel reflective devices offering selectable and programmable options for digital or analog differential A, B, and I output. The Broadcom HEDS-9940EVB board has two code wheel units featuring multiple optical radius options, including 256, 400, 512, and 720 CPR bases. The HEDS-9940EVB1 Evaluation Board also comes with two units of code wheels and supports optical radius options of 200, 360, 500, and 625 CPR bases. These evaluation boards provide a platform to experiment with the AEDR-9940 Optical Encoders for various applications.
