FPCs/FFCs with tabs prevent improper mating, enable secure connections, and increase the force to retain FPCs/FFCs. When an FPC/FFC is inserted, it is locked in the connector by turning the tab at the center of the actuator upward. The tab serves as both the space in the vacuuming area and as the lock operation confirmed by a tactile click. The FPC/FFC is released by turning the tabs on both sides down to unlock and open the actuator.
