MP1496 Step-Down Converters

MPS MP1496 Step-Down Converters are high-frequency, 2A, and 16V converters with built-in power MOSFETs. The MP1496 converters provide 2A continuous output current with excellent load and line regulation over input supply range. These MP1496 converters operate with a wide input range of 4.5V to 16V. The step-down converters offer adjustable output from 0.8V at fixed 500kHz of switching frequency. These converters feature external programmable soft-start and synchronize with a 200kHz-to-2MHz external clock. The protective features for MP1496 include over-current protection, thermal shutdown, and external Solid State (SS) control. Applications include notebook computers and I/O power, digital set-top boxes, flat-panel television and monitors, and distributed power systems.
