VIPER16 High Voltage Converters

STMicroelectronics VIPER16HD High Voltage Converters combine 800V avalanche-rugged MOSFET with state-of-the-art PWM circuitry. These high voltage converters are able to power itself directly from the rectified mains and eliminates the need for an auxiliary bias winding. The VIPER16HD features PWM operation with frequency jittering for low EMI, hysteretic thermal protection, soft startup, and safe auto restart after any fault condition. Typical applications include power metering, auxiliary power supply for appliances, replacement of capacitive power supply, and LED drivers.

VIPerPlus High Voltage Converters

STMicroelectronics VIPerPlus High Voltage Converters combine 800V avalanche-rugged MOSFET with state-of-the-art PWM circuitry. The result is an innovative AC-DC conversion that is efficient, simpler, quicker, and with component count halved, less expensive.
