TE Connectivity's (TE) / Holsworthy FWFU Fusible Wire Wound Fixed Resistors are a special type of resistor that also acts as a safety fuse. TE FWFU resistors allow current to flow normally but break the circuit when the current exceeds a safe level, protecting electronic devices from damage. These resistors are commonly used in power supplies, chargers, and household appliances to help prevent overheating and short circuits. The TE FWFU resistors are different from traditional fuses because these components provide some resistance before the fuse blows, making the series useful for controlling inrush currents.
