TMP42x/TMP42x-Q1 Remote/Local Temperature Sensors

Texas Instruments TMP42x/TMP42x-Q1 Remote / Local Temperature Sensors utilize a built-in local temperature sensor with ±1°C remote accuracy for multiple IC manufacturers, with no calibration needed. The remote temperature sensor diode-connected transistors are typically cost-effective, NPN- or PNP-type transistors or diodes that are an integral part of microcontrollers, microprocessors, or FPGAs. The two-wire serial interface accepts SMBus write byte, read byte, send byte, and receive byte commands to configure the device. TI TMP42x/TMP42x-Q1 Remote / Local Temperature Sensors include series resistance cancellation, programmable non-ideality factor, wide remote temperature measurement range (up to +150°C), and diode fault detection. The TMP42x-Q1 devices are AEC-Q100 qualified for automotive applications.

TMP421/TMP422/TMP423 Temperature Sensors

Texas Instruments TMP421/TMP422/TMP423 small high-performance remote temperature monitor with built-in local temperature sensors. The devices add programmable bus addressing to support multiple devices on the same I2C/SMBus.  The Texas Instruments TMP421/TMP422/TMP423 series features resistance cancellation, programmable non-ideality factor for improved system accuracy, and diode fault detection to ensure the remote sensor is in working condition and connected correctly. The devices have an onboard local temperature sensor and support three remote temperature sensors. The TMP422-EP devices have gold bond wires, a temperature range of –55 to +105°C, and include a SnPb lead finish.
