PCIe Gen 3 Card Edge Connectors

Amphenol FCI PCI Express® (PCIe) Gen 3 Card Edge Connectors enable PCIe signaling from 8Gb/s per differential signal pair. These 1mm-pitch, vertical card edge connectors feature specially designed 8Gb/s sockets for low-profile systems. The connector range features x1, x4, x8, or x16 serial PCIe links to support a wide range of bandwidth and performance requirements. The series also supports I/O cards (x1), server I/O (x4 and x8), and higher bandwidth such as graphic and riser cards (x16). Amphenol FCI PCIe Gen 3 Card Edge Connectors enable all generations of PCI Express signaling in desktop PCs, workstations, and servers.

PCI Express (PCIe) Card Edge Connectors

Amphenol FCI offers an array of card edge connectors supporting PCI Express Gen 3, Gen 4, and Gen 5 standards along with PCIe M.2 connectors, which provide high performance and differential signaling in low profiles. The connector designs support 2.5GT/s (Gen 1), 5.0GT/s (Gen 2), 8.0GT/s (Gen 3) and upgrade to 16GT/s (Gen 4), even further to Gen 5 32GT/s per differential signal pair. The expansive range of vertical PCIe Gen 4 and Gen 5 connectors come with options for surface-mount (SMT), through-hole solder, press-fit (PF), and straddle-mount terminations. These PCIe connectors are typically used for I/O cards in desktop PCs, along with applications in data communications for servers, workstations, routers, industrial embedded systems, interface processing, and data storage devices such as hard disk drives (HDDs) and solid-state drives (SSDs).
