Bourns Model 3851 and 3852 Single-Turn Panel Controls
Torque Improvement
Bourns Sensors & Controls Product Line is announcing an
improvement to their model 3851 and 3852 3/4" diameter panel
control. The improvement results in better consistency in
tactile feel and rotational torque. These changes will affect
all standard part numbers and many of the custom part numbers
related to these models.
The design improvement involves the addition of a Delrin acetal
resin washer between the moving rotor and the rear side of the
bushing resulting in a smoother feel and better consistency in
rotational torque.
The improvement will be implemented in production at the end of
April, 2012. Since this improvement will be a running change,
some customers may receive product from the current design until
the existing inventory has been depleted.
