Mouser-Sponsored Vasser Sullivan Lexus Team Earns Another Podium Finish in IMSA Michelin GT Challenge at VIR

August 29, 2023– Mouser Electronics, Inc., the New Product Introduction (NPI) leader™ empowering innovation, congratulates Jack Hawksworth and Ben Barnicoat of the Vasser Sullivan Lexus Racing team on their exciting second-place finish in the GTD PRO class at Sunday's IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship race at Virginia International Raceway (VIR). Aaron Telitz and Frankie Montecalvo also scored a top-five finish with a fifth-place result in the GTD class in Sunday's GT-only race.

Hawksworth and Barnicoat scored their eighth podium finish in nine races this season and currently hold the GTD PRO championship lead with 3,165 points. The driver duo led 48 laps around the 17-turn, 3.27-mile Virginia road course in the Vasser Sullivan No. 14 Lexus RC F GT3 on Sunday. Ben Barnicoat was in the lead with 56 minutes remaining in the two-hour, 40-minute race when he stalled in the pits. He quickly got going again, earning the team's third-straight second-place result.

Jack Hawksworth also won the Motul Pole Award for the GT Daytona Pro (GTD PRO) class during qualification on Saturday. The pole award was Hawksworth's third of the season.

In the GTD class, Telitz and Montecalvo ran among the top five throughout, with Telitz crossing the finish line fifth in class for the second consecutive race.
